Types of Dental Anaesthetic We Offer

Local Anaesthetic
The most common form of anaesthetic, local anaesthetic is injected near the treatment site to numb the area completely. You remain awake and aware, but feel no pain in the area being treated. Local anaesthesia is typically used for fillings, crowns, extractions, and minor surgical procedures.
Nitrous Oxide (Happy Gas)
Nitrous oxide, also known as happy gas, helps patients feel calm and relaxed during treatment. Delivered through a small mask placed over the nose, the effects are felt quickly and wear off rapidly after the procedure—allowing most patients to return to normal activities the same day. It is suitable for both adults and children, and is an excellent option for patients with mild dental anxiety.

IV Sedation
For patients who experience moderate to severe dental anxiety or require longer, more complex treatments, IV sedation provides a deeper level of relaxation. Administered through a vein, it induces a state of calm where you are still able to respond but often remember little of the procedure. IV sedation is closely monitored by a trained professional throughout your treatment, and you will need someone to drive you home afterwards.
